Tissue Repair, Inflammation & Recovery Research

ARA-290

ARA-290, also known as Cibinetide, is an investigational 11-amino-acid peptide derived from a portion of erythropoietin (EPO). It was designed to capture some of EPO's tissue-protective and anti-inflammatory signaling without stimulating red blood cell production. ARA-290 has been studied primarily for its potential effects on small nerve fibers, inflammation, neuropathic symptoms, and tissue protection.

How Does It Work?

ARA-290 activates a tissue-protective receptor pathway commonly referred to as the Innate Repair Receptor (IRR).

This pathway becomes particularly relevant in tissues experiencing stress, inflammation, or injury.

Research suggests IRR activation may:

• Reduce inflammatory signaling

• Support cellular survival

• Reduce oxidative stress

• Promote tissue-repair pathways

• Support small nerve fiber regeneration

Unlike EPO, ARA-290 is designed not to stimulate significant red blood cell production.

Potential Benefits

NERVE HEALTH & NEUROPATHY

ARA-290 has received particular attention for its effects on small fiber neuropathy.

Research has explored:

• Neuropathic symptoms

• Small nerve fiber function

• Nerve regeneration

• Neuropathic pain

• Diabetic neuropathy

• Sarcoidosis-associated neuropathy

INFLAMMATION

ARA-290 may influence several processes involved in inflammation and tissue injury.

Research has investigated:

• Inflammatory cytokine signaling

• Immune regulation

• Chronic inflammatory responses

• Cellular protection during inflammation

TISSUE & ORGAN PROTECTION

Preclinical research has explored potential protective effects involving:

• Kidneys

• Heart

• Liver

• Lungs

• Nervous system

ARA-290 vs. Wolverine Stack (BPC-157 + TB-500)

Both are investigational compounds studied for tissue protection and recovery, but they target different biological processes.

The biggest difference: ARA-290 is more focused on nerve-related inflammation and neuroprotection, while Wolverine is more associated with soft-tissue repair research involving tendons, ligaments, and muscles.

Possible Side Effects:

ARA-290 has generally been well tolerated in small clinical studies, but human safety information remains limited.

Reported or potential effects may include:

• Headache

• Dizziness

• Nausea or digestive discomfort

• Injection-site irritation

• Individual sensitivity

Important to Know:

ARA-290 remains an investigational peptide.

Human studies have produced promising findings involving small fiber neuropathy and nerve-related symptoms, but larger clinical trials are needed to establish its effectiveness and long-term safety.

ARA-290 is not an FDA-approved treatment for neuropathy, inflammation, pain, or organ protection.
