Muscle Performance, Strength & Recovery

AOD-9604

AOD-9604 is a synthetic peptide derived from a small portion of human growth hormone (HGH). It contains a modified sequence corresponding to amino acids 176–191 from the C-terminal region of HGH. AOD-9604 was developed to investigate whether some of HGH's effects on fat metabolism could be separated from its growth-promoting and blood-sugar effects.

How Does It Work?

AOD-9604 was designed to influence pathways involved in how the body stores and breaks down fat.

Preclinical research suggests it may influence:

• Lipolysis – breakdown of stored fat

• Lipogenesis – formation and storage of new fat

• Fat-cell metabolism

• Energy metabolism

Unlike HGH, AOD-9604 is not intended to significantly stimulate growth hormone receptors or IGF-1 production.

Potential Benefits:

FAT METABOLISM

• Breakdown of stored fat

• Fat-cell metabolism

• Lipid utilization

• Regulation of fat storage

BODY COMPOSITION

• Body fat

• Body weight

• Abdominal fat

• Overall body composition

However, clinical trials have not established AOD-9604 as an effective weight-loss treatment.

METABOLIC HEALTH

Researchers have also examined whether AOD-9604 can influence fat metabolism without producing the broader effects associated with HGH.

This includes research involving:

• Glucose metabolism

• Insulin-related effects

• Lipid metabolism

• Energy balance

AOD-9604 VS. HGH

Although AOD-9604 comes from part of the HGH molecule, it is not human growth hormone.

AOD-9604:

→ HGH fragment

→ Primarily researched for fat metabolism

→ Not designed to significantly increase IGF-1

→ Does not provide the full effects of HGH

HGH:

→ Complete growth hormone molecule

→ Strongly affects GH receptors

→ Increases IGF-1

→ Influences growth, metabolism, and multiple tissues

Possible Side Effects:

• Headache

• Nausea

• Digestive discomfort

• Fatigue

• Injection-site irritation

• Individual sensitivity

Important to Know:

AOD-9604 remains an investigational peptide and is not FDA-approved as a medication for weight loss or fat reduction.

Its biological effects on fat metabolism remain an area of research, but reliable clinically meaningful weight loss has not been established in humans.
